Regarding the full opening of the Mt. Fuji Summit Loop Trail (O-hachimeguri)

The Mt. Fuji Summit Rim Trail (commonly known as the Ohachimeguri trail), which circles the summit of Mt. Fuji, will open as scheduled on Friday, July 10th.

・Opening period: July 10th (Friday) to September 10th (Thursday)
The public toilets at the summit on the Fujinomiya side (managed by the Ministry of the Environment) will also open from 4:00 AM on July 10th (Friday).

*The area near the summit is often very windy and has harsh conditions. Even after the restrictions are lifted, please take the following points into consideration and be sure to prepare thoroughly for your climb before passing through.
Please stay on the sidewalk. (Exercise extreme caution when passing through areas where snow remains along the sidewalk.)
The rocks on the trail are very prone to crumbling, so please be careful of falling rocks.
- There is currently some damage to the iron safety fence near the summit (Uma-no-se). The safety fence is not a handrail for climbing, so please do not grab onto it when climbing.
Depending on the weather, strong winds, heavy rain, lightning, and dense fog may make the area dangerous. Please carefully assess the situation and decide whether or not to proceed with the climb.
