Subashiri Trail mountain hut

Points to note when using mountain huts on Mt. Fuji

  • The mountain huts on Mt. Fuji operate on a book-in-advance system. They are only open during the trail opening season.
  • Mountain huts are simple accommodations intended for short naps, so they have only the bare minimum of facilities.
  • When choosing a mountain hut to stay at, select one that is located in a suitable area based on your own physical capabilities (the distance and time you can climb).
  • Payment and reservation methods vary from mountain hut to mountain hut, so please check in advance.
  • Please allow ample time, as you may not be able to use the facilities after the check-in time.
  • Guests can have a simple meal for dinner and breakfast. (Please note that we may not be able to accommodate allergies or religious restrictions, so please check with each mountain hut in advance or prepare your own meals.)
  • Because water is extremely precious on Mt. Fuji, the mountain huts do not have bathing or washing facilities. Drinking water is available for purchase.
  • Rooms are generally shared by both men and women.
  • Toilet disposal methods vary from mountain hut to mountain hut, so please be sure to check the instructions before use.
  • There are no trash cans at the mountain hut. Please be sure to take your trash with you.

Subashiri Trail mountain hut

  • You can also stay overnight at the Subashiri Trail 5th Station.
  • There is also a mountain hut at the summit.
  • Since the trail merges with the Yoshida Trail at the 8th station, mountain huts from the 8th station onward will be shared with hikers on the Yoshida Trail.
  • Please refer to the diagram below to see the locations of the mountain huts along the Subashiri Trail.
