Regarding restrictions on climbing Mt. Fuji in Shizuoka Prefecture

<2026 Fuji climbing regulations>

On the Shizuoka Prefecture side, the three routes (Fujinomiya Trail, Gotemba Trail, and Subashiri Trail) have climbing restrictions in place during the Mt. Fuji climbing season (early July to September 10th). Those entering the mountain from the Shizuoka Prefecture side are required to follow the following entry procedures according to the regulations.
* "Entering the mountain" refers to going beyond the designated reference point set by the prefecture towards the summit.

① Completion of pre-training (e-learning) on rules and manners related to the conservation and safe climbing of Mt. Fuji.

② If you enter the mountain between 2 PM and 3 AM the following day, you will need to stay overnight at a mountain hut.
*You can enter the mountains during the above hours if you have accommodation in a mountain hut, but each mountain hut has its own set check-in times. Please plan your climb with ample time, taking your own physical condition into consideration.
*Please note that there are limited last buses down the mountain, and taxi service is limited at night, making it difficult to get a ride to the 5th station. Regardless of when you start your climb, please pay close attention to your descent time. Calculate your return time, and if it's later than expected, it's important to turn back partway.

③ Payment of Hiking Fee (4,000 yen per person, one time)

Please note that Shizuoka Prefecture has not set a daily limit on the number of climbers.
